Family Dinner

As seen on:

With school underway, finding the time to sit down to a family meal can be a bit of a challenge.  Research shows that some of the benefits of eating together are:  better communication, better school performance, and of course better nutrition.

One of our cotillion alumni wrote a persuasive school essay which made its way to the category of influential affordable papers to study. The essay is on making good choices to be the best person you can be.  One of her findings was that “a young adult who has family dinners at least 3 times a week is less likely to find themselves in bad situations”. (Thanks for sharing Emma!)

With all of the challenges that school, homework, athletics, and other extracurricular activities bring; take a bit of time to schedule in family dinner.  You’ll be glad you did.  … and don’t forget to leave the cell phones in another room so you can give 100% of your attention to everyone at the table.
